This one is real!
BAD Virus --CNN announced -- Snopes confirms as real.
Here is a link to the snopes page:
http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/postcard.asp
PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST!!
A new virus has just been discovered that has been point by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee . This virus s imply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored.
This virus acts in the following manner:
It sends itself automaticall y to all contacts on your list with the titl e:
'You've received a Post Card from a Family member'.
As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+ delkeys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk. Y esterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York , according to news broadcas t by CNN.
This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself.
So don't open any mails with subject:'A Post Card from ' As soon as you get the ma il, delete it !! Even if you know the sender !!!
Please point this mail to all of your friends.
Forward this to everyone in your address book. I'm sure most people, like mys elf, would rather receive this notice 25 times than not at All

I M P O R T A N T ! ! ! ! !
point this on to your email buddies.
Heed the warning. It sounds awful!!!
Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on.
This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton.
Please send it to everybody you know who has access t o t he Internet.
You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail with a Power Point
presentation ' Life is Beautiful' If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and
delete it immediately.
If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying:
'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'
Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who
sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and point.
This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon.
A OL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's
are not capable of destroyin it.
The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'.
PLEASE SEND A COPY OF THIS E-MAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS, And ask them to
point IT ON IMMEDIATELY
TAKE CARE
